The Castaways are proud to announce that the band will be inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame for 2025. This is a great honor for which we are extremely grateful.

After decades of entertaining and performing for audiences in the Upper Midwest, we are announcing that 2025 will be our final year playing shows. We wish to thank the many communities, cities, venues and private parties who have booked us over the years, and the fans who have supported us. 

 

After so many years and thousands of shows, it is time for a new chapter in our lives.

 

We hope to see you at our final shows in 2025, and we greatly appreciate your support over the years!

THE CASTAWAYS are a nationally-known Minnesota based rock'n'roll band that audiences have been demanding, and enjoying for many years. From community concerts, fairs and festivals, to country clubs and wedding receptions, The Castaways provide an exciting show with great sound and lights.

The Castaways are comprised of four talented musicians. Jim Donna, keyboards and vocals, was one of the band's original founders. In the band's early days, The Castaways recorded co-writer Jim's song 'Liar, Liar' which became a million seller that vaulted the band into the nation's top ten! In later years, Bob Donna, guitar and vocals, joined the band along with Rick Snider, drums/vocals, and Ralph Hintz, bass/vocals. In 2005, Jim Donna was inducted into the Minnesota Rock/Country Hall of Fame. In 2025, the Band is being inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame.
